Description of the area
Situated on the edge of the Lac du Salagou, this parking area is just a stone’s throw from the Onlycamp “Les Vailhés” campsite. You will enjoy the exceptional, preserved and protected environment of this listed site. A multitude of activities are available to you on site: swimming, fishing, water sports, hiking, mountain biking…
Swimming in the lake is currently not recommended due to the presence of cyanobacteria.
aHow it works
1- You creat a customer account on www.onlypark.fr, you reserve tour parking place online.
2- You receive a confirmation email and another email with QR code giving you acces to the area
3- To acces, present the QR Code in front of the of the reader, the barrier will open
4- Entry from 10am and exit before 11am – possibility to exit and enter during this period
Reservation free 1€ to reserve the place in advance (before 3pm), otherwise no reservation free

- Between 08/04 and 02/07 : package at 9€ for 24 hours (2 people in a camper van or van with electricity)
- between 03/08 and 27/08 : package at 12€ for 24 hours (2 people in motorhome or van with electricity)
- Between 28/08 and 28/09 : Package at 9€ for 24 hours (2 persons in a motorhome or van with electricity)
Activity around the motorhome area
An exceptional setting for all outdoor activities
Swimming, mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, fishing, boating… all these activities are possible from the campsite.
Water activities on the lake:
Discover the magic of the place with a multitude of nautical activities: optimist, electric boat tour, sailing, kayak… and many others! You will have the possibility of renting equipment on the spot thanks to the nautical base: Pedal boats – Canoe – Kayak – Windsurfing boards – Rowing boats – Dinghy – Catamaran. You can practice an activity independently or with a guide.
Fishing: Pike-perch, pike, carp… A host of animal and plant species find a favourable environment for their development in this very rich ecosystem. Pikes exceeding one metre in length are not uncommon, as are pike-perch weighing over 8 kg. On the banks, your children will be able to see crayfish and small fish.
Hiking :
Cycling: Ride your bike through the Grand Site du Lac du Salagou and the Cirque de Mourèze. A total of 17 signposted routes from 3 to 38 km are available
Lodévois et Larzac is an ideal area for hiking in the Hérault, to discover the Causse du Larzac. Guided or unguided hikes, numerous hiking trails or discovery paths will allow you to discover this protected area for a family stroll or a sporting excursion. A lovely 10 km hike starts from the Vailhés campsite along the Salagou Lake.
Tourism / Discovery :
St Guilhem le Désert : Classified as the most beautiful village in France, it is an essential stop for lovers of old stones and history. A spiritual stopover on the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago de Compostela with its superb Gellone Abbey, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert is a small, well-preserved medieval town where charm and relaxation reign.
For lovers of discovery, there are also many historical and geological cultural sites close to Les Vailhés campsite.
